"Samsung's plasma range distinguishes itself through superior clarity and vastly enhanced brightness and contrast features," said Ashraf Sajid, Sales and Marketing Manager, Samsung Gulf Electronics. "This is the ultimate home theatre solution, combining state-of-the-art digital picture quality and features such as the DVI interface with a slim and attractive design. Furthermore, the two models have successfully overcome the high power consumption shortcoming of most plasma models making them the ideal choice for home users."

The newly launched models boast a number of enhancements such as an innovative visual algorithm - 1000cd/m2 brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio to provide greater brightness without comprising on contrast for real-to-life like images, 2T PIP with a double screen, 2100 pages teletext and a superior sound quality guaranteed by SRS TruSurrround XT to provide true theatre-quality surround sound experience through a seamless integration of 5 speakers and a sub woofer system. Furthermore, the new models offer versatile features such as Samsung's DNIe™ (Digital natural image engine) to achieve superior image quality, full HDTV functionality and digital video interface (DVI) to transmit 100% digital video signals without any picture loss for high-quality images.

"The launch of Samsung's new Plasma televisions will further revolutionise display technology in the region," said Mr. Sajid.
