  • PRESS RELEASE

Cathay Pacific Airlines announced that it is giving away 25 fully-paid holidays for two to Hong Kong to lucky travelers for free as a way of giving thanks to its passengers in a raffle draw this July.

In an interview, the airline said all passengers who purchase the Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Holiday packages-either premium or budget, to any destination will be entered into a draw to be the winner.

"The promo is our way of showing gratitude to loyal passengers for their continued support and for making Cathay Pacific to be the top airline," Navin Chellaram, Cathay Pacific's Country Manager for UAE and Oman, said. He added that the promo will start on June 1, 2004 to July 10, 2004. The grand draw takes place on 27th July 2004. All the winners will be contacted by the airline.

The Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Holiday packages allow travelers to have varied options of 14 itineraries in seven different countries with other over 30 choices of extensions and optional tours. The destinations include Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand.

Other than the city tours, passengers can also avail of the optional tours within the original country they intend to visit or extend and combine trips to key Asian, Australian or New Zealand cities.

"If one is traveling for example to Bangkok, he is given the option to stay at the city or take the extension trips to other tourist spots in Thailand or may opt to combine trips to Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. The same is true for all other destinations. We have made the itineraries flexible so everything depends on our passengers as to where they want to go. Our job is to take them there," Chellaram explained.

He further added that the Holiday packages are seen to give travelers unique vacation time without the hassles of multiple bookings and ticket purchasing as all is arranged for by the airline.

Chellaram also revealed that all Holiday packages come with an optional free stop over to Mumbai. This, according to the official, gives extra choice for the passengers to stay at Mumbai for a visit or conduct business on the way to Asia or going back to Dubai.

Cathay Pacific flies 11 times out of Dubai to Hong Kong and offers convenient connections to Asia, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and China destinations.
