Dubai's Gold and Jewellery Group awards Pure Gold as 'Star Performer'

The Star Performer Award is being given to leading jewellers based on their performance in retail promotional activity over the past two years. Out of 520 members composed of retailers, bullion traders and manufactures, Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group have chosen Pure Gold for this status.

Commending Pure Gold for the accolade received, Dubai's Gold and Jewellery Group chairman Tawhid Abdullah said: "The awards are designed to foster healthy competition among Group members to maximize the impact of retail promotions, increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction. Pure Gold has been a very active player in the retail market and has remarkably demonstrated sheer commitment in finding ways to remain as one of the most highly competitive jewelers in the emirates."

Pure Gold Jewellers has posted a growth of 17.5 per cent in 2003 compared to previous year's sales figures despite the steady decline in gold imports into Dubai brought about by the constant increase in international gold prices.

"The sustained increase in Pure Gold's sale is a result of the company's efforts to help strengthen the gold and jewellery industry in the UAE and improve the level of satisfaction of our local and international clientele. We are more than delighted to have been recognized for this," said Walter Quadros, operations manager for Pure Gold.
