DIB makes it a real privilege to use its VISA gold & classic cards

The card continues to offer a globally accepted fully Shariah compliant immediate payment facility but, in a bid to "not only meet customers needs and expectations, but exceed them", the bank has added a range of new privileges. The added benefits include free International Motoring Club (IMC) membership, travel insurance, purchase protection and special offers from more than 170 UAE outlets, restaurants and hotels.

Saad Abdul Razak, DIB's Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said: "The launch of the new privileges for VISA cardholders is an indication of the bank's drive to enhance its relationship with customers. The program contributes to the development of the bank's product and service levels, which should ultimately contribute to the growth of our Sharia-compliant card customers."

Mr. Abdul Razak added: "The growing credit card market in the UAE is a highly competitive one, with banks offering various services and products which encourage customers to ask for more services and advantages other than a simple credit facility. As such, DIB has added these privileges to its VISA cards to enhance its ability to compete in this sector."

Courtesy of their IMC membership, all DIB VISA cardholders are entitled to emergency roadside assistance, a free International Driver's License and use of the Dial-a-Tyre Service, to remove some of the stress of driving around town or through the desert. In addition, Gold cardholders are entitled to Off Road Recovery Service, a free Rent-a-Car for 24 hours in the event of a car accident and a free Car Registration Service.

Customers who use their DIB VISA Gold or Classic card to purchase airline tickets will receive free comprehensive travel insurance immediately, with Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance (AMAN), providing cover against personal accident, medical and hospital expenses, travel delay, luggage delay or loss, personal liability and loss of personal effects. All other purchases made with the card will automatically be insured for 90 days against loss, theft or damage.

Shoppers using DIB VISA cards qualify for special discounts, bonuses and privileges in more than 170 selected outlets throughout the UAE. The participants in the scheme range from fashion, beauty and jewellery outlets to hotels, hospitals and health clubs.
