Rajeev Mukul appointed General Manager for Maxtor Middle East operation

Maxtor one of the world's leading manufacturers of hard disk drives for consumer, industrial and entertainment applications has announced today the appointment of Mr. Rajeev Mukul as the General Manager for Maxtor, Middle East.

Maxtor will be officially inaugurating its Middle East office, based at Dubai Internet City, on 5th October 2004. Rajeev will be responsible for the expansion of Maxtor's business in the region whilst providing on the ground support to Maxtor's dedicated Channel in the region.

Prior to joining Maxtor, Rajeev worked with Redington Singapore for 12 years, where he held the position of General Manger, Corporate Office and CEO of Redington Gulf. Besides expanding distribution business in the Middle East region he was also responsible for Business Diversification in the field of IT Training/Education and Customer Support Services. Rajeev boasts a strong background in IT, with more than 15 years experience in distribution of storage products such as Imprimis, Conner, Seagate, IBM & Hitachi combined with strong domain knowledge of the Middle East region and its specific IT needs.

Rajeev started his career in the R&D division of DCM Data Products, New Delhi, with a number of design credits to his name he then migrated to Corporate Sales and established DCM's office in Singapore in 1983 which he managed as Country Head till 1988.
