American University of Sharjah (AUS) signs Authorized Training Center agreement with Autodesk

AUS - a leading educational house in the UAE has signed an agreement with Autodesk Middle East, a leading design software company, to become an Autodesk Authorized Training Center for the new Autodesk Building Systems (ABS) software.

Under this agreement AUS shall run in house training program courses for its architecture and engineering students on Autodesk's new software -Autodesk Building Systems. AUS direction being making available the latest technology to its students. The Authorized Training Center program will entitle the university to receive automatically the latest releases (upgrades) of Autodesk Building System software as and when it is launched by Autodesk. This way there will be no need for the university to go through order placement procedures and the students don't need to wait for the purchase of latest upgrades. The Authorized training center agreement ensures automatic fulfillment for upgrades.

"AUS chose to teach its students Autodesk Building Systems software because it offers the students tools that they need in the market after graduation as the software includes full AutoCAD + full Autodesk Architectural Desktop + the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) menus." said Dr. Ahmed Mokhtar, Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Design at AUS.

"Autodesk Building Systems software is the latest release of value addition from Autodesk where end users could complete drawings of projects delivered with services." said Mr. Ahmad Al Jassim, Autodesk Country Sales Manager. He further added "We are pleased that we shall be working with AUS to make the latest technology available for AUS students in the UAE. The new generation of AUS students will not only learn AutoCAD but will have access to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) menus enabling them to produce full fledged project drawings with services in Autodesk environment."
