The UK-based air charter company will be deploying a senior representative from the Middle East as well as from the UK headquarters at the exhibition, to be held from 19-25, July 2004.

The Middle East pavilion, hosted by Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E), marks the Middle East aviation industry's debut at an international aerospace event outside the Dubai air show.

Commenting on the participation, Hugh Courtenay, Chief Executive, International Air Charter plc stated, "We are delighted to be a part of the Middle East pavilion at Farnborough; ranked number three in the international aerospace event calendar. This initiative is part of our campaign to drive visibility for the Middle East region among international audiences. The region is on an upward growth curve, with an increasing number of MNCs (multinational companies) focusing their attention on the region's lucrative market opportunities. This spells good news for the local aviation industry, and as a premier charter service-provider in the region, we are keen to publicize the services we can offer out of the Middle East."

"Being an air charter broker gives us a special incentive for participating at international trade shows such as Farnborough, as we are able to offer inbound (to the Middle East) customers a significant price and availability advantage over other regional players. International Air Charter can source aircraft at short notice from a large number of suppliers, as well as offer more cost-effective solutions because we are able to source an aircraft closest to the location of the client," he added.

The aircraft in the company's database currently include Boeing Business Jets, Global Expresses, Falcons, Gulfstreams, Challengers, Cessna Citations and Lear Jets.

"With attendance by every major global players in the aerospace industry, we are certain Farnborough will offer us ample opportunity to showcase the Middle East's capabilities to international audiences. The business benefits of our participation are also manifest; we have witnessed a 15 percent increase in business enquiries following participation at recently held international travel shows including the ATM (Arabian Travel Market, Dubai) and EBACE, Geneva," concluded Courtenay.
