- PRESS RELEASE
British Airways increased passenger capacity on the Beirut-London route on Thursday when it introduced the first state of the art Airbus A321-200 aircraft to its Middle East network.
The A321-200 has 31 seats in Club World, up from 22, and 118 World Traveller seats, up from 102.
Its Club World has ergonomically designed cradle seats which have won fulsome praise from regular fliers, both cabins have all the refined comforts which passengers have come to expect from the World's Favourite Airline, and feature a "moving map" television screen on which travellers can see exactly where the aircraft is on its route.
The Beirut-London route is operated by British Airways franchise partner British Mediterranean Airways, whose General Manager Sales and Marketing, Nigel Carey, said, "Growing out fleet into an A321 family, and in turn offering increased capacity to key markets, is part of our long term strategy. Today marks the start of that process and an increase in passenger benefits all round."
