British Airways launches e-ticketing in the UAE

British Airways has recently announced the launch of e-ticketing service in Dubai having launched e-ticket successfully in Abu Dhabi in July 2003.
A single e-ticket will be issued for up sixteen sectors of travel including North Atlantic sectors, eliminating numerous flight coupons that are required with paper tickets. With an e-ticket passengers can also make alterations to their itinerary up to 30 minutes before check-in closed, subject to the normal fare restrictions.
Commenting on the launch Debbie Frampton, Commercial Manager Dubai and Northern Emirates said "Electronic ticketing is rapidly becoming the new standard in air travel convenience and is an enhancement to the service British Airways provides its customers in the UAE.
"E-tickets are easy to use and designed to make our customers' journey experience from booking to boarding as fast and hassle free as possible." Added Debbie Frampton.
On presenting the receipt and passport at the airport check-in desk, passengers will be provided with their boarding card. Check-in, security, and customs procedures for international travel using an electronic ticket are the same as current procedures for passengers with paper tickets.
British Airways e-ticket is currently available in 158 destinations across the world.
