- PRESS RELEASE
OctopusTravel.com, the leading international travel company, has revealed that over 15 per cent of GCC travelers now book their holiday online, with up to 45 per cent using the Internet to get information about the destination they want to visit.
The company now offers a unique online booking service that allows travelers to arrange quick and easy transfers between their point of arrival and hotel or holiday apartment. OctopusTravel.com is offering the transfer facility in association with its industry partners who include leading airlines and travel portals worldwide.
Holidaymakers and business travelers can now log on to OctopusTravel.com and book chauffeur-driven cars, limousines, minibuses or coaches to transfer them to and from airports, railway stations or ports, in over 250 cities worldwide.
The company is also offering specially tailored private sightseeing services, where holidaymakers will be provided with an experienced local guide, a vehicle and chauffeur, further helping to make OctopusTravel.com one of the most comprehensive Internet travel service providers.
Daniela Wagner, International Managing Director, OctopusTravel.com said: "The new services are the latest in the list of value-added products offered by us, which are aimed at enhancing the comfort levels of our customers. With the transfer services, the travelers can be assured of meeting someone they can trust, without being concerned about the vehicles, charges or unfamiliarity of the destination."
Amer Al Halabi, Regional Business Development Manager (Middle East and North Africa), OctopusTravel.com, said: "The new services have been devised to provide our travelers with a hassle-free journey. The transfers will eliminate anxiety for the travelers, especially in an unfamiliar destination."
"For the customers, the biggest benefit is that they can travel to any destination without having to worry about the transfer services. Customers are also provided with a 24-hour contact number for added reassurance and if a flight is delayed, there is no need to worry as the flight times are checked in advance and pick-up times are automatically adjusted, if necessary."
OctopusTravel.com has strategic partnerships with leading airlines and uaetraveler.com, a tailor-made portal launched during the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai in association with Al Naboodah Travels. A strategic relationship with Gullivers Travel Associates, the world's largest independent travel wholesaler, has helped the company offer a 'lowest price' guarantee on accommodation besides 'frequent availability' when other operators are sold out
The company's key industry partners include EasyJet, KLM, bmi, Lufthansa, Eurostar, Virgin Blue, Royal Jordanian, Royal Air Maroc and Qatar Airways.
