Hoping to attract more clients from the region, Heidleberg will be unveiling some of their latest innovations at the September 19-22 show which has already superceded all expectations in exhibition sales.

The decision has been taken by Heidelberg's Middle East regional operations and signals their continued commitment to the Gulf area where, according to Marketing Manager Sindbad Al-Mahaire, Heidelberg have been present for over 60 years. "With the rapidly expanding printing industry in the Middle East, we will keep introducing the latest innovations in the print media industry and during the Gulf Print 04, we are showing some of the latest solutions for the first time in the region," Al-Mahaire added.

The Gulf Print exhibition promises to be bigger and better than before with much more on offer for an estimated 8-10,000 visitors. "These come from throughout the region, including Iraq and Iran," said Dominic McGill, Project Manager for Gulf Print. "Visitors this year will be able to see the latest Heidelberg press which is coming to the region for the first time. With a Heidelberg machine in almost every print shop in the Gulf, the industry is well aware of Heidelberg's quality. Gulf Print will offer them the opportunity to see the latest in machines and technology."

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, was established in 1850 in Heidelberg, Germany, and has been doing business in the Middle East for the past 60 years. Worldwide, the company has a turnover of over 5 billion Euros and over 23,000 staff. "In the Middle East we have 9 branch offices and around 140 staff half of whom work in the service area," explained Mr Al-Mahaire. "Our clients range from repro-houses, printing presses, publishers and Government organisations."

The Heidelberg product range in the Middle East includes solutions ranging from Prepress, Press, Postpress, Workflows to Service and Training provided by the Print Media Academy.
Gulf Print and its sister show Gulf Pack, will be held at the Airport Expo from 19-22 September, 2004.
