- PRESS RELEASE
In the coming months, Packard Bell will unveil new digital home entertainment products as well as desktops, notebooks, easy-to-use home networking, and many other devices to meet customer demand for design, innovation and ease-of-use.
Packard bell has recognised this change and is moving beyond its traditional role as a PC manufacturer. Expanding its horizons with the new Packard Bell Lounge concept, the company is pushing the boundaries of current technology to ensure that digital convergence in the home is both attractive and viable. No longer does the digital home need be made up of separate entities - PC workstation, stereo system, etc.
With the Lounge, Packard Bell is integrating all these elements to ensure maximum convenience and flexibility both inside and outside the digital home.
"We are constantly working to enhance our presence in the area and the very strong and broad range of Packard Bell products will definitely provide a major boost," said Lenia Iacovides, Managing Director of interFRONTIERS Services Ltd., the Cyprus-based company and the Regional Business Development Unit for NEC and Packard Bell in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Middle East and Africa areas (excluding South Africa).
Digital convergence in the home is inevitable and Packard bell is repositioning itself in the market to ensure that it takes the lead in providing the new technologies that people require in a practical manner. As such, the company is introducing a thrilling range of exceptional digital technologies for everyday users.
Thanks to its Digital Home Convergence strategy, Packard Bell is also in a position to expand its distribution network - no longer just retailing its products directly through computer stores, but also through general electronics stores. Packard Bell is also looking to make its full range of new products available throughout the Middle East by cooperating with distribution partners and aligning themselves with major electronics outlets throughout the region.
