Annual graduation at Emirates Aviation College

The Emirates Aviation College - Aerospace & Academic Studies, has celebrated the graduation of its students, who successfully qualified in the fields of Business Management, Tourism Management, Aerospace Engineering, and Electronics and Computers.

Emirates' Chairman, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, presented diplomas to the students at an evening ceremony at the college, attended by VIPs, Emirates management and students' family and friends.

Sheikh Ahmed said: "The Emirates Aviation College is helping to supply the personnel requirements of the aviation and tourism industries within the Middle East.
"I congratulate this year's graduates and wish them every success in their future careers within these exciting industries."

The graduates have successfully completed their two-year training programmes in various disciplines which include Aerospace Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Foundation Diploma, Business Studies, Travel & Tourism, and Bachelor of Business Administration.
The qualifications they received range from National Diploma to Higher National Diploma, in addition to Bachelor Degree in Business.

Awards for Best Academic Achievement were presented to Taher Mazaher (National Diploma in Aerospace Engineering), Kamran Maqsood (Higher National Diploma in Aerospace Engineering), and Laila Rashed Al Abbar (National Certificate in Leisure & Tourism).

An award of appreciation was also presented to David Leckie of Mercator, the IT division of Dnata, in recognition of his continued support and assistance.

A number of graduates will now proceed with their higher education and are planning to attend universities abroad in the future. Others are planning to start their careers in various organisations within Dubai.

Addressing the graduates and guests, Mohammed Al Budoor, Principal of the Aerospace & Academic Studies wing of the Emirates Aviation College, said: "Since its formation, the Emirates Aviation College has made an impact on the lives of young people and has educated hundreds of students to take up jobs in various areas such as airlines, airports and in aircraft maintenance facilities, in addition to private companies at home and abroad."

The Emirates Aviation College - Academic & Aerospace Studies recently inaugurated its new Air Traffic Management Training department. Students undergo training using the state-of-the-art, three-dimensional Air Traffic Control simulator (Adacel MaxSim) which features high quality, photo-textured visual scenes with exceptionally realistic weather simulation.

Other courses offered by the college include Aerospace Engineering, Electronics & Computers, Tourism Management and Business Management Studies. The programmes lead to vocational higher BTEC diplomas awarded by UK-based Edexcel Foundation. During their study, students are sent by the college on work-placements to various organisations within the UAE and abroad, in support of the vocational, technical and academic programmes.
