- PRESS RELEASE
DHL UAE, the Emirate's leading express and logistics company, has opened an express outlet in Dubai's Deira City Centre shopping mall - its third entry into the retail sector.
"This Deira City Centre facility comes as a direct response to overwhelming demand from the retail outlets and customers," said David Wild, General Manager, DHL UAE. "It is also in line with our determination to be easy to do business with."
Via the new DHL facility, shops in Deira City Centre can courier items between stores, to customers or to recipients named by customers.
"Shoppers wanting to send gifts or tourists looking to send purchases back home will benefit from the convenience of this outlet," said Wild. "The in-store concept has worked extremely well in Abu Dhabi and most particularly in Dubai Duty Free."
"DHL has been operating in the Middle East for nearly 30 years and the opening of this new service further shows our commitment to the region. The move to Deira City Centre sees us strive to further partner the retail industry in delivering logistics solutions designed to enhance their competitiveness."
The Deira City Centre outlet will process local and international deliveries and can accommodate packages of all sizes and specifications. On Deira City Centre's ground floor, the service is open from 10am to 10pm daily.
"The addition of DHL to Deira City Centre further enhances our offering as the complete retail experience. We envisage a positive response to an on-site courier service from customers and shop owners alike," said Drew Eide, Marketing Manager, Deira City Centre Shopping Mall.
