Radek Cais has been appointed General Manager at the five-star Diplomat Radisson SAS in Bahrain, Christopher Pike has taken up the role at the Radisson SAS in Muscat and the Radisson SAS Martinez Hotel, Beirut has announced Peter Schuler as its new GM.

Cais, the former General Manager and Managing Director of the Radisson SAS Strand Hotel in Stockholm, is an award winning hospitality expert and arrives in Bahrain during a key period in the Diplomat's development, as construction of the new 15 storey extension is due for completion at the end of next year.

"Radek's experience in overseeing the major refurbishment and repositioning of the flagship Radisson SAS Strand Hotel in Stockholm will serve him in good stead for his task in Bahrain," said Jean Marc Busato, Vice President, Rezidor SAS Hospitality Middle East.

Christopher Pike returns to the Radisson SAS Hotel in Muscat, where he was part of the opening team, after spells at Radisson properties in Bahrain and Sharjah. He replaces Torbjörn Bodin as General Manager, who is moving within Rezidor SAS Hospitality to the Regent brand.

Pike began his career in the international hospitality industry in London and joined Radisson SAS Hotels and Resorts in 1999 as the Director of Sales & Marketing in Muscat.

"It's great to be back in Oman, where my career with Radisson SAS began," said Pike. "It's almost like coming home, especially as I had a hand in launching the hotel four years ago."

Peter Schuler, former Director of Food and Beverage at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Kuwait, replaces fellow Austrian Martin Kolb as General Manager at the Radisson SAS Martinez Hotel in Beirut, after working in China, Dubai and Russia.

A graduate of the Schloss Hofen Tourism School in Austria, Schuler is fluent in both English and German.

"Christopher and Peter both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge of the hospitality industry to their new assignments," said Busato. "Both also have previous experience of working in the Middle East, which is an invaluable asset," he added.
