Hydroturf International opens in Doha

Marwan was formerly based in the Dubai office and is a graduate of Agricultural Engineering from the U.K. He has extensive regional knowledge and over 20 years experience in a variety of irrigation products.

Hydroturf Qatar will market, sell and support a range of high quality and complementary products - All global brand leaders in their category. These include TORO turfcare management equipment, Club Car electric powered vehicles, Flowtronix pumps, Trojan heavy duty batteries and Polaris quad bikes.

When asked why Hydroturf are expanding into Qatar, Colin Baxter, Managing Director of Hydroturf International responded ''Doha is a fast developing centre and we recognise this. It is Hydroturf's policy to operate our own offices and provide the marketplace with highly qualified and trained employees - not only do we recognise this dynamic environment, but we will be providing our products with a competitive advantage by having our own presence there.''

Baxter went onto say, ''With the burgeoning tourist and leisure projects in Doha; such as West Bay Lagoon, the Pearl Development and Doha Golf course, we felt that the time was right to move to the next level of commitment to Qatar.''

Hydroturf Qatar, will become the regional base for Geoff Gladstone, Hydroturf Regional General Manager of Club Car, Polaris and Trojan in the Gulf Region.

Baxter added ''Geoff has been with the company for some considerable time and was instrumental in Hydroturf being appointed CLUB CAR International dealer of the year in 2000.

His experience of the region, knowledge of special vehicles and management skills are an asset to the company. Geoff's relocation to Doha will further reinforce the Hydroturf offering to our customers located there and in the region.''
