Air Arabia strengthens its sales force

Rohit Ramachandran joins Air Arabia as Commercial & Business Development Analyst, whilst Shalini Rajan comes on board as UAE Sales Manager.

As Commercial and Business Development Analyst, Rohit's role will be to develop sales and distribution within the UAE, as well as new destinations that come online. He will also focus on increasing the contribution from Internet sales, which will support Air Arabia's overall objective of providing economical travel opportunities to its customers. Before joining Air Arabia, Rohit worked as a Sales Executive with Singapore Airlines based in UAE and as a Corporate Consultant with KLM, based in Tehran. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration from the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, Manipal, India and has recently obtained an MBA in International Marketing & E-Commerce from the University of Leicester, UK.

Shalini's role as UAE Sales Manager, heading up the sales force for one of the region's most dynamic, fastest-growing airlines will call up on all her skills gained in her previous appointment as Corporate Manager with KLM Airlines based in UAE. Having over 14 years experience in sales, Shalini will be responsible for formulating sales initiatives to increase revenue whilst strategically managing her team of sales professionals. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Francis College, Hyderabad, India.
