Amiantit achieves new record with four metres diameter fiberglass pipe

Amiantit Fiberglass Industries Ltd (AFIL), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company, has achieved a new world record in the fiberglass pipe industry by producing a four metres diameter pipe.

    Amiantit Fiberglass Industries Ltd (AFIL), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company, has achieved a new world record in the fiberglass pipe industry by producing a four meters diameter pipe.
The pipe was designed and produced at the AFIL plant in Dammam using fiberglass-manufacturing technology owned exclusively by Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company, the world leader in the design and manufacture of fiberglass pipes and storage tanks for potable water and waste water infrastructure projects.

Over the past 30 years the Amiantit Group has made an important contribution to building the infrastructure of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other countries. Most recently Amiantit has supplied approximately one million longitudinal meters of pipes with various diameters for projects in Spain, Argentina and Germany. In addition, several projects involving pipe diameters ranging between 3000 mm and 4000 mm have been supplied to the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Bangladesh, while in Saudi Arabia, since 1982, Amiantit has been supplying 3700 mm diameter pipes for in-take and discharge of seawater for cooling purposes at the Royal Commission project in Yanbu Industrial City where the latest project utilized pipes with a total length of 11,000 linear metres.
