DHL Aviation Middle East runs 'European Aviation Safety Authority' training course
- Bahrain: Thursday, July 15 - 2004 at 09:49
- PRESS RELEASE
DHL Aviation Middle East, in cooperation with Bahrain Airport Services, recently ran a 'European Aviation Safety Authority' (EASA) training course for its maintenance engineers on the Boeing 727.
The course, held at the training facilities of Bahrain Airport Services, was conducted by Capital Aviation Services Ltd, one of the most recognised and approved resource and training providers in Europe.
The decision to conduct this EASA training course follows on from DHL Middle East's recent acquisition of the six new Boeing 727s for its Middle East air network, the aircraft that are expected to reshape the future of the Middle East cargo operations by providing fast, jet aircraft services to the whole region.
The European Aviation Safety Authority provides set European-wide standards for maintenance training and flight regulations with all training courses and maintenance organisations being approved to a minimum standard laid down by EASA.
"Similar to pilots, it is mandatory for all maintenance engineers to be trained on each individual type of aircraft for which they certify and to receive training of superior standards before any hands-on activities are carried out" explained Ashley Northcott, Technical Manager for DHL Aviation Middle East. "In DHL, we make sure that prior to operating any new aircraft, all training is conducted by exceptionally qualified companies, such as Capital Aviation Services, and all certifications are of the highest international standards."
