Project management courses available through knet
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, July 15 - 2004 at 10:06
- PRESS RELEASE
In response to the ever-increasing number of short- and long-term projects springing up across all sectors in the UAE, knowledgenetwork (knet), the Dubai-based training and learning consultancy, has introduced the Masters Certificate in Project Management to its curriculum.
He personally negotiated the largest property deal in Australian real estate history, worth AUS$ 1.2 billion, as well as the country's largest commercial lease. He is the author of several books, including 21st Century Leadership and The Futureproof Corporation.
Abdulqader Al Khaja, CEO of knet, said: "Alan Patching has inspired, challenged, informed and entertained audiences for many years, and his message has reached senior executives of leading corporations, to sales incentive groups and professional associations.
"The content of this course is also extremely relevant. With the increase of companies using project management to deliver strategy, this really is one of today's hot topics in corporate Arabia.
"The courses also benefit the attendees directly: the Masters' Certificate in Project Management is part of the biggest online MBA programme in the USA, and counts as credit points towards the overall qualification."
Khaja explained that project management as a corporate strategy has been embraced by other regions, including a marked increase in countries such as Australia, which has seen its take-up rise from 6 to 40 per cent in recent years.
"Virtually every area of a corporation is project-related," he said. "Project management breaks down the chaos of an overwhelming workload into manageable elements, such as scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk, procurement and integration."
The Masters Certificate in Project Management modules starte on June 21 - 24 with Project Management Principles, and continue through to December. They can be taken individually, or as modules counting towards an MBA.
knet is an independent training and management consultancy, and specialises in live speaker seminars and business conferences including IHR Arabia. It provides access to a network of international, regional and local organisations, such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, Institute of Administrative Management, and the Institute of Leadership and Management as well as the Masters Certificate in Project Management from Regis University.
