Canon can with Orion

Orion, ICICI Infotech's leading integrated enterprise information solution in conjunction with Crossroads, an online and interactive Enterprise Relationship Management solution, will provide Canon Middle East with a complete end-to-end extended ERP II application with online capabilities, that will enable employees, distributors and partners to share information region-wide, and significantly reduce the costs of transaction as well as turnaround time.

Canon Middle East's initial requirement encompassed a web based warranty tracking system for their partners in the Middle East, enabling them to simply log in through the Internet and place, check and validate their warranty claims. This soon evolved into a need for an effective integrated enterprise information solution to streamline the company's regional business processes including sales forecasting, monitoring of costs, inventory, purchase and distribution cycles.

Hence, the decision to go with a complete ERP II solution by deploying Orion, including its collaboration component, into a single streamlined system. The project from conceptualization to completion has been closely followed by Canon's EMBU headquarters in Amsterdam.

An estimated 60 users at Canon Middle East will benefit directly from the Orion implementation based at two locations, the head office which houses the sales, marketing & finance department and the warehouse responsible for the inventory and logistics process handling, and its external component will cover their partners over the region.
