GEMS expands classroom facility for Dubai schools

GEMS, Global Education Management Systems — the leading education provider in the Middle East, recently announced plans to begin construction for expanding the facilities of four of its Dubai based schools, which offer CBSE curriculum.
This new construction would imply a provision of 400 seats for the Millennium School, 850 seats for Our Own English High School and 925 each for Kindergarten Starters and Our Own Indian School.
In addition, a new primary block extension is planned for the Al Khaleej National School, which is expected to be ready by September 2005. This school teaches an American curriculum together with a Ministry of Education syllabus targeting Arabic speaking students who wish to benefit from an English language based programme.
Hugh MacPherson, Chief Operating Officer, GEMS said, "This project is a direct response to the growing demand for quality education in the region. There is tremendous potential for growth of educational institutions that have the right infrastructure and expertise to provide motivational learning environments for children. We understand that there is nothing more important than the investment in a child's education, and we are always seeking investment opportunities, which can reap long-term benefits of better education for future generations. Our aim is to make education easily accessible for everyone and this project of expansion of our existing schools further reiterates our commitment."
