Opennet introduces special 'Summer Camp'
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, July 22 - 2004 at 15:33
- PRESS RELEASE
Opennet, master distributor for Red Hat in the Middle East and Africa, has announced a special summer discount offer between twenty to thirty percent on Redhat Linux courses and certifications.
"We see a strong trend in the Middle East (and globally) that open source is being adopted by more and more companies who are running it simultaneously with other proprietary software," said Tewfik Zitouni, MD, Opennet MEA. "We are confident that with our special summer offer, our existing and prospective Linux users will be encouraged to increase their skill sets and make the most of open source."
The summer camp offer includes a twenty percent discount on Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) courses. Full track RHCE courses attract a thirty percent discount.
"In addition to the training discounts, we also arrange four and five star hotel reservations at preferential rates," continued Zitouni.
According to him, training and certification can further reduce total costs of ownership (TCO) since organisations can then become self sufficient in technical support, turning to Opennet and Redhat for emergency support.
"One of our prime objectives is to ensure that the enterprise end user is educated on the advantages of opting for Linux, including its economic and technical advantages," he said.
Opennet has been in the Linux business for over six years. In addition to being the Red Hat Certified Education Centre, Opennet recently announced the availability of the first Red Hat Desktop, a secure, manageable solution for the enterprises, targeted at Government, Academic and Enterprise IT organizations.
