BenQ introduces new Ultra-Light DLP projector to the Middle East
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, July 25 - 2004 at 13:45
- PRESS RELEASE
BenQ, the region's leader in digital lifestyle products, has extended its range of projectors available in the Middle East with the introduction of its latest mobile model designed for business users - part of a strategy to increase projector market share across the region.
BenQ's PB2240 Digital Light Processor (DLP) mobile projector, one of the lightest models available in the market weighing just 1.7kg, has been designed to provide superior presentation performance by featuring Advanced Color Coding Technology, which intelligently enhances light.
"Customer feedback has shown that mobility is a key factor when projector purchase decisions are made," said Robert Dung, managing director, BenQ Middle East. "In the business environment, efficient storage and ease of transportation are vital, as is picture clarity. This latest BenQ model meets all these requirements."
The ultra slim DLP PB2240 which features 2000:1 contrast ratio, 3000hrs lamp life and has a 22" to 300" image size, will further enhance BenQ's position as a provider of high contrast ratio and proprietary pre-set mode projectors.
BenQ's projector range also includes models for use in schools and universities, to aid learning by displaying key information clearly. Customers wanting home-cinema projection, can also choose from BenQ's offerings. In 2003 the company had 10 projectors on the market, which it intends to double by the end of the year.
"Since establishing the projector business in the Middle East, sales have continued to grow year-on-year," said Dung. "We set ourselves ambitious targets to ensure that BenQ has the widest range of projectors available in the market, and we are course to meet that plan."
BenQ has recently signed several deals with education ministries across the Middle East to provide projectors to schools and universities. The booming meetings and conference market in the region has also contributed to significant sales growth of BenQ projectors, with strong demand coming from hotels and conference venues.
