- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, July 27 - 2004 at 10:38
- PRESS RELEASE
FedEx Express, the world's largest express transportation company, today launched FedEx Global Trade Manager to customers across the UAE.
Located on www.fedex.com, FedEx Global Trade Manager features a document determination capability which guides merchants through the often-complicated process of international shipping. The simple, wizard-based process helps shippers locate and prepare the appropriate import/export documents for their goods by automatically selecting the correct information required, based on the commodity description and country of import or export.
" FedEx Global Trade Manager is a valuable addition to the range of solutions that make FedEx a trusted provider of services to small and medium-sized businesses across the region," said Hamdi Osman, Regional Vice President, FedEx Express Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent and Africa. "By enabling quick, accurate and efficient completion of customs documentation, Global Trade Manager can save our customers time and resource, and bypass possible customs delays."
In addition, Global Trade Manager features a document library which allows customers to store regularly-used customs documentation and information about the goods they ship for easy retrieval and reuse. All trade data in the Global Trade Manager library is regularly updated to ensure validity and accuracy.
Available in 38 countries, FedEx Global Trade Manager also includes the FedEx International Resource Centre, which provides timely information on customs and commodity requirements, market trends and strategic analysis.
