NBK named Best Bank in Kuwait for 2004 from Euromoney

Euromoney, the leading magazine in the world of finance, has awarded National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) the 'Best Bank in Kuwait for 2004'.
Euromoney attributes this achievement to NBK's financial performance and its strength across all business lines, as well as its share for corporate products. NBK, is also a market leader in the retail sector where it is consistently at the forefront of product innovation with leading internet, phone, and mobile banking services, Euromoney stated.
Isam Al Sager, NBK's Deputy CEO, comments that the awards highlight NBK's strong fundamentals that are rooted in the unique values set out by its founders in 1952. NBK has recently reported net profits of $221 million for the first half of 2004. The bank lately acquired a stake in Grindlays Qatar Bank in addition to management rights. It also inaugurated a new branch in Amman, Jordan.
