- PRESS RELEASE
In a ceremony held in Beirut recently, McDonald's independently owned restaurants proudly received Coca-Cola's Golden Quality Award in Jordan, Lebanon, and all the GCC countries.
The Coca-Cola Company grants this distinguished award annually to McDonald's in markets where superior beverage quality index is achieved over a 12-month period. The Coca-Cola Company quality index is evaluated based on fountain drinks' ratio, taste, carbonation, syrup age, and temperature of Coca-Cola products served to McDonald's consumers.
On the occasion, Rafik El Toukhi, Region Manager, Coca-Cola Middle East, said: "At Coca-Cola Middle East, the quality of our products is a key priority. We have to ensure that all partners we work with deliver our products in a consistent manner, in line with our customers' expectations. By implementing such an audit, we can ensure that consumers in markets like UAE are guaranteed the highest quality that is expected from our products. I am delighted to award McDonald's in UAE, as they are helping to offer our customers a refreshing top quality product at all times."
"This award also reflects the success of the cooperation and coordination between our Bottler, McDonald's restaurants, as well as the McDonald's Middle East Development Company", he added.
"We are very proud of this award, and the awards received by the McDonald's restaurants we serve. It reflects the strong spirit of dedication shared between the local owners of the restaurants and the local bottling companies that distinguishes them in the service of our customers and our communities. It is also the third year in a row that the restaurants achieve this award. This is a clear demonstration of the owners' consistent commitment to quality." Said Alsharif Abdallah Alluhaymaq, Marketing and Communications Director with the McDonald's Middle East Development Company, on behalf of MMEDC and the McDonald's owners.
McDonald's operates over 200 restaurants throughout the Middle East through independently owned restaurants that rely on local suppliers for about 80% of the products they serve. Their commitment to quality, service, cleanliness and value is shared by these suppliers, and is the cornerstone of their relationship with the McDonald's owners throughout the Middle East.
