The first Linux offer of its kind in the region, the "Red Hat SMB Ready" includes one Red Hat Enterprise Server, ten Red Hat Desktop Entitlements and Desktop Management Modules along with one Red Hat Network Proxy Server.
This is fully supported by Opennet for one year on a 8/5 (eight hours, five days a week) basis.

"Open source technology offers SMBs more flexibility, lower operating costs while providing a platform for expanding networks and running a broad range of solutions and office applications including an e-mail client, browser and office suite," pointed out Tewfik Zitouni, MD, Opennet.

The package also includes not just free implementation and configuration but free Firewall, Mail Server, Webmail, Webserver, File Server, Print Server, Office Suite (Open Office) and Mail Client Applications like calendar, e-mail, tasks, address book, etc.

Emil Shaya, Operations Manager, Opennet, said, "We will also install FREE Antivirus to protect any computers on the network that use Microsoft Windows. We understand that most SMBs have some systems in place and we would like our offer to help them set up a cost-effective network without breaking the bank!"

According to Zitouni, "It is very simple to administer, manage and update. From an end user perspective, in addition to the availability of all office software, security issues and financial losses are irrelevant to RedHat Linux. We understand that SMBs need to focus on their core business and should not have to worry about the security, management and cost of their IT infrastructure. This is what this offer is about."
