eCompany waives registration fee for Internet DialUP service in August

eCompany, Etisalat's one-stop e-powerhouse business unit that provides Internet services and total e-solutions, announced a new summer promotion wherein the AED100 registration fee for new subscribers to the Internet DialUP service will not be charged.

The offer will last from August 01 to September 01, 2004 and is the latest in a series of customer-focused initiatives from eCompany.

The eCompany Internet DialUP service is the most affordable means of accessing the Internet in the UAE. Using just a telephone line and a standard modem with the computer, users can be online with a minimum of hassle and expense. It is most competitively priced as compared to any similar Internet access service available across the region.

Announcing the Internet DialUP service waiver, Mr. Abdulla Hashim, Senior Manager eCompany, said: "Our aim is to increase the adoption of Internet and e-services in the UAE and to encourage more users to be e-enabled. As we all know, the UAE is the leader in Internet usage and adoption in the region. With this summer offer, we invite new users to experience the Internet revolution. This will increase the knowledge base of our country and also increase the adoption of e-services in the UAE."

The eCompany Internet DialUP service supports modem speeds up to 56kbps using the V.90 standard thus ensuring best access speeds for users. Through e-mail, users can be in touch with friends, relatives and colleagues. Through website browsing and web search, research on a variety of subjects can be conducted. Students can supplement their education while housewives can get information about various new products and services, even pick up new recipes.

Subscribers can connect to the Internet using the eCompany Internet DialUP service even while travelling out of the UAE by using eCompany's Internet roaming service, and can settle bills on their return. While within the UAE, they can use iZone, the Public Wireless Hotspot service that is being rapidly deployed across the country.

For greater customer convenience, a help desk managed by skilled professionals has been set up by eCompany. The help desk is open to receive customer queries and respond to their complaints on a 24X7 basis. Customers can call the eCompany contact help desk toll free on 800 6100.
