Under the terms of the agreement, Tech Data FZ-LLC - which has far-reaching sales, marketing and logistics capabilities across the region - will provide distribution of i-mate™ Windows Mobile™ wireless devices throughout greater MENA (Middle East and North Africa), into established retail / reseller channels therefore eliminating trading of the devices by third parties. Tech Data will also be providing pre and post technical training to these established channels. This gives i-mate™ the desired distribution focus.
Dawn Robson, General Manager of i-mate™, comments that the agreement is an important development for i-mate™'s global strategy. "Tech Data's leadership in the distribution of IT products opens up many markets for us and furthers our goal of expansion into international territories.
