Panasonic introduces high-performance FJ series Flat TV to the Middle East
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 02 - 2004 at 13:16
- PRESS RELEASE
Panasonic, the leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics, is introducing its latest T (tau) FJ series of Flat TVs to the Middle East.
Speaking about the new range, Yasuyuki Shimizu, General Manager, Consumer Products, Panasonic Marketing Middle East FZE, stated, "Panasonic has been one of the pioneers in usage of new technology on television screens. The FJ series reflects our commitment to delivering the best quality in sound and picture to our customers. The TVs have been introduced to meet increasing consumer demand for sleek high- performance televisions in the mid-range segment."
"The FJ series is ideally suited for the Middle East market. The TVs' advanced features, design and reasonable pricing will help us gain market share in the already burgeoning regional TV market from 16 percent to 20 percent by the end of 2005. The FJ series also comes with a 5-language (Arabic, Persian, French, English and Russian) on-screen display, which is an added bonus," added Shimizu.
In terms of colour sharpness, TC-29FJ20R, the TC-25FJ20R and the TC-21FJ20R go one step beyond the AI (Adaptive Brightness Intensifier) function by offering a Digital AI Naturaliser. While the AI function assumes natural gradation and colour at all times by increasing the discharge cycle for dark scenes and doubling the brightness control precision over prior systems, the Digital AI Naturaliser helps convey colours in all their nuances. So bright colours like red and green look more vibrant while skin colours stay natural-looking.
The FJ Flat TVs also have a VM (Velocity Modulation) that transition from dark to light areas in the picture signal. The dark and light portions of the signal are sped up and slowed down respectively, resulting in superior black-to-white transition and sharper edge definition.
The FJ Flat TVs also boast superior theatre-like sound features courtesy a number of sound-enhancing features. The TVs come with advanced Psycho-acoustics Bass Boost, Wing-type stereo speakers, 5 band equalizer with three preset sound settings: music, news and cinema. The wing-type front-facing speakers deliver high-impact stereo sound that make images come alive, while the high-performance oval shaped speaker units deliver a highly linear frequency response that translates into a range of sounds from deep bass to smooth mid-range to clear high-end. Using Panasonic's Psycho-acoustics Bass Boost technology, the VHB Virtual Hyper Bass Circuit emphasizes the frequencies that are normally too low for TV speakers to reproduce.
The television comes in a sleek silver frame with a slimmer side profile than previous PS series models. The Flat Picture Tube delivers natural and accurate images and text from corner to corner, free of the warping and distortion that occurs with conventional curved screens. The design also ensures that reflection is minimal, so images are clean and distraction-free.
All the televisions in the range come with a Wake-Up Timer that lets users set the TV to turn on automatically and Child Lock facility to enable parents to restrict access to particular channels.
