Fastlink's dynamic applications are now accessed through an advanced multi-access portal platform, which serves as an umbrella providing a common way of handling a vast range of services.

The unified platform provides high efficiency that reduces operative costs and makes it faster to develop and deploy new services for end users.

Built on Oracle 10G Application Server, the portal outshines other GSM operators' Internet websites, being the first to be developed using this advanced Oracle technology. The platform comes with a wireless option that supports the multi-access features of the portal, and provides connectivity with information channels and with other wireless components.

'ESKADENIA's commitment and expertise has driven us to use their capabilities to achieve our own goals. The services, which are delivered by them, fulfil our requirements. With this new platform we will have more flexibility in deploying new services effectively and in a short period of time', stated Fastlink's CEO Mohammed Saqer.

The portal is shipped with flexible and empowered Content Management functionalities to manage, edit, and publish the portal's content. These functionalities streamline the portal's administration process and reduce the workload of the Fastlink staff. Any content editor with proper training can benefit from a wide range of rich features without technical assistance or knowledge of the underlying technologies. The multi-access portal also allows access through the Internet, WAP and SMS, and provides a wide variety of features for guests and registered users.

Fastlink's Marketing Director Bashar Arafeh stated, 'Fastlink Web portal will allow our customers to interact and use different services via Internet', adding 'this new portal will allow us to introduce a variety of advanced features to the market'.

Adding greater value to this huge project, the Customer Service Online Module '1234Online' provides a comprehensive flexible solution for managing customer services at Fastlink. The module allows both corporate users and individual users to access and administer their accounts. Users can add or delete certain services from their accounts, check on the status of their bills, view and print detailed bills, generate reports, submit complaints, and manage their Kurmalak service. Anything that the user can do by calling 1234 can now be done through the portal's interface.

In addition, '1234Online' provides corporate subscriptions with administrative privileges to manage corporate subscribers' numbers, privileges over the system, and corporate subscription's preferences in general.

'Fastlink has always been striving for quality and product excellence; this is a milestone in a more integrated IT and Telecom business. Fastlink is setting the pace for the GSM industry in the region through such an advanced portal platform and we are very proud to take part in such an important achievement', said Nael Salah, Managing Director of ESKADENIA Software Solutions.
