ARAMEX is witnessing a steady increase in heavyweight shipments and is gearing up to meet the soaring demand by putting into action its portfolio of services and tailor-made transportation solutions.
For MachiTech, Turkey's 1st machine and machinery equipment exhibition, ARAMEX served as the show's exclusive logistics partner. It delivered machinery and exhibition materials in a fleet of trucks from Turkey to Jeddah in less than 84 hours. At the end of the exhibition, the entire consignment was returned to Turkey. The project called for ARAMEX's expertise in managing bulky deliveries, including its haulage and ability to handle swift customs clearance across various borders; Turkey, Syria and Saudi Arabia.
The MachiTech exhibition held in Jeddah displayed the products of more than 82 exhibitors from Turkey specialising in the heavy machinery industry. ARAMEX will handle the transportation and logistics, including swift customs clearance of all machinery and materials again when MachiTech is held in Jeddah in April 2005, where a bigger volume and more exhibitors are expected and also when it is held later this year in Amman in addition to Damascus, Cairo and Dubai next year.
Othman El Jeda, ARAMEX VP for Saudi Arabia added, 'At Aramex, we are constantly customising our services to meet the evolving needs of customers. The Aramex team was excited to take on the 1st Machine and Machinery Equipment Exhibition as the official transportation solution provider.
'By successfully implementing this project and making the Turkish Exhibition possible in Saudi Arabia within a short time-frame, we have demonstrated our ability to offer prompt tailor-made solutions designed to meet our customers' needs, in the heavy package delivery sector, which we see as one with great potential.'
