Motorola's embedded Bluetooth - one more step towards seamless mobility
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 09 - 2004 at 13:53
- PRESS RELEASE
Motorola (NYSE:MOT), a global leader in wireless communication technologies announces the launch of a wide range of Bluetooth accessories to the Middle East market.
"As our lives increasingly grow mobile, Motorola will continue to work hard to develop products which simplify and streamline our interaction, while on the go. Our embedded Bluetooth technology will continue to premiere as a reliable platform for fast and user friendly interconnectivity," said Patrick Mulligan, General Manager of Motorola's Personal Communications Sector for the Middle East and North Africa.
The cornerstone of Bluetooth enabled accessories is 'ease of use'. Not only can Motorola's Bluetooth headset (HS810) be worn on the right or left ear, but at the push of a button it can receive or disconnect from a call. By the same token, the five hour talk time as well as the 100 hour stand-by time provide a reliable and convenient substitute to hands-on mobile phone communication. Moreover, the 20-gram weight of the headset is one of many compelling incentives to switch to an invaluable wire-free communication environment.
Complementing a whole range of Bluetooth enabled accessories, Motorola's wireless car kit (HFW8000) as well as the portable wireless speaker (HF800) combines hands-free convenience with sophisticated Bluetooth wireless technology. Respectively, users can adjust and control volume, as well as answer, end, mute or place calls directly from a highly stylized control panel that conveniently mounts to the dashboard. The portable wireless speaker (HF800) can be used in the car, office, home or even clipped onto one's belt.
Motorola's wireless USB allows for the wireless transfer of high volume data traffic between phone and PC. Contact databases can swiftly move between phones, laptops or handhelds. Motorola's embedded Bluetooth technology facilitates unrivaled interconnection between all sorts of devices around us.
Moreover, Motorola's Bluetooth enabled accessories are universal. They are not only restricted to operating Motorola products. For example, Motorola's Bluetooth headsets can operate other non-Motorola Bluetooth handsets and thus benefit end users with a wider choice of non-product specific interoperable devices.
Motorola's embedded Bluetooth technology is an icon at enabling a synchronized, interconnected and secure wireless communication experience to happen. "Motorola is a founding member of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), the original manufacturers that helped develop the technology. This technology is not only a hands free experience while speaking, it is a technology which builds and fosters secure wireless interconnection and interaction between devices and communities within societies, while on the go," Mulligan added.
To date, Motorola has launched Bluetooth-enabled handsets featuring the sleek V600 and V80 as well as its 3G handse, the A835, and its upcoming revolutionary 'entertainment phone', the E398.
Consumers no longer need to structure their lives around the limitations of the past; they now have the power to set standards based on their own behavioural needs. The company promises INTELLIGENCE EVERYWHERE. This is driven by a belief in the empowering technologies - such as Bluetooth - that bring a simpler, easier to use world. Motorola aims to seamlessly provide ongoing mobility to everyone, everywhere.
Motorola has 75 years history of delivering wireless technology to the world, starting with the in-car radio.
