- PRESS RELEASE
DHL, the world's leading express & logistics company, has signed a three year exclusive contract with Axiom Telecom, one of the main distributors of mobile phones in the GCC, who commenced operations in the Saudi market last month.
"Axiom Telecom will benefit from our deep understanding of the local market that comes from more than 25 years of operations in Saudi Arabia and our extensive road & air domestic networks across the Kingdom," said Thaer Wazani, DHL Account Manager responsible for the Axiom Telecom Account. "At the same time, the deal will reinforce DHL's position as the ideal logistic partner for the telecommunications industry, a dynamic and fast growing sector of the Saudi economy."
Mr. Jamal Al Bugmi, General Manager, Axiom Telecom Saudi Arabia said: "The telecommunications market is acutely time sensitive and by using reliable high-speed resources we aim to achieve fast delivery of shipments to our showrooms and distributors. We believe that customer care and after sales services are the main challenges in our business and it is these factors that influenced our decision to partner with DHL. Their reliability, experience, specifically in telecoms, and strength in both the Saudi and the Gulf markets will enable us fulfill our promises to customers with fast on-time delivery and assist us in achieving our goal - which is to become the number one mobile phones distributor in Saudi Arabia."
DHL's warehousing and distribution service is proving to be a highly popular logistics solution for companies who are gaining a competitive advantage through reduced overheads and staff costs by empowering DHL to store stocks and deliver orders direct to customers. It is another example of DHL's innovative approach to the Saudi market and one of the many DHL services that can be tailored to suit each customer's individual needs.
