Standard Chartered appoints new Head of Corporate Affairs

Standard Chartered Bank, one of the leading international banks in the UAE, has appointed Niall McLoughlin as its new Head of Corporate Affairs.
In this capacity at Al-Futtaim he also oversaw the public relations and communication strategy of Dubai Festival City and the mixed-use real estate development on the banks of Dubai's Creek.
"Niall's extensive experience in the UAE will prove to be valuable asset to Standard Chartered," said Ray Ferguson, Chief Executive, Standard Chartered UAE. "His appointment comes at a time when the bank is stepping up its communication strategy and reinforcing its commitment to community-based activities, such as the recently announced sponsorship of the Dubai Marathon in 2005 and the Arabian Gulf Rugby Football Union."
Before moving to the Al-Futtaim Group, McLoughlin worked for various marketing and public relations agencies in Dubai after moving to the Emirates from Ireland, where he was Marketing Manager at Nissan Ireland, the second largest motor distributor in the country.
