AUST Network offers fees cut for distinguished students joining the university for the coming academic year

Distinguished newcomers who obtained higher marks in the school examine level will be offered special fees cut by the AUST Network administration for the year 2004-2005.

This was announced by Mr. Thamer Saeed Salman, Vice President, Administrative & Financial Affairs, AUST Network.

"As part of its role to encourage newcomers to join the university, AUST Network has drawn out a Financial Assistance Programme with the objective to attract students of high skills and calibers to the university. We also aim at helping student who are not in a position to pursue their studies due to their economical position", said Thamer.

"There is a number of brilliant students who may end up beyond the level of university due to their family's bad condition. We are ready to cut the fees for students who have scored higher than 90 percent and are interested to join one of our eight faculties spreading in four of the emirates in the UA; Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujairah and Ajman", he added.

"The fees cut programme also include a number of students whose parents are governmental workers, Omani students and other categories", he said. 'These students will have their fees cut up to 20%. There will also be considerable cut for brothers joining the university.'

The university also offers some social assistance to a number of students who are in need of aid. The concerned body will study each of these students to evaluate their position and then to take the right decision based on certain criteria.
