Region clicks onto new look Cadillac website

Cadillac's renaissance in the Middle East has taken an important step forward with the launch of the brand's new-look bilingual website

In line with the brand's worldwide rebirth, the new Cadillac portal's user-friendly bilingual interface is designed to guide consumers through the site's comprehensive bank of images and information on current and future Cadillac models in each market, genuine accessories and ownership privileges.

"At GM we are committed to remaining at the forefront of technological innovation, through both our vehicles and our customer care," said Carsten Tobiassen, regional CRM and e-commerce manager for GM. "This new site provides a number of smart, effective and useful ways for consumers to easily access information about the unparalleled Cadillac line up in a convenient, straight forward format."

Customers can log on to download information about the features, specifications and optional extras available across the Cadillac range, request a product brochure, locate their nearest Cadillac retailer or even book a test drive in their dream vehicle. Cadillac owners and enthusiasts can also access the site to stay up to date with Cadillac news by signing up for regular Cadillac e-news updates from GM.

General Motors Middle East & Africa was recently awarded the first Yahoo! Middle East Online Award in the Automotive category for its outstanding contribution to the growth of online advertising in the Middle East. "Yahoo! users in the Middle East North Africa region have grown from 1.4 million in 2000 to more than 8.5 million in 2004," said Dr Irfan Ahmad, Director of Yahoo! Middle East Advertising Sales Representative office in Dubai.

The growth in Internet adoption and its importance as a marketing tool has also been noted by GM. "Our most recent research shows that 77% of people planning to by a vehicle in the near future have access to Internet, and 41% of the visitors to our websites plan to by a new vehicle within 3 months," added Tobiassen.

"This presents an extremely strong case for a comprehensive online presence for our company, be it through our websites, direct marketing activities, or online advertising."
