OnLine Distribution introduces new infrastructure products

Belden® DataTwist®
Belden has extended its DataTwist Combustible cable line with a new category 6 offering. To advance today's performance needs and combustibility concerns, Belden now offers easy-to-install, high performance cables that meet not only the TIA/EIA-568.B.2 Category 6 and 5e standards, but also the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 90 standards for limited combustible cables.

Belden DataTwist Cat 6 cable (7813LC), DataTwist 350 (1701LC) and DataTwist 5e (1585LC) Cat 5e cables utilize a fluoropolymer jacket that helps to withstand the effects of heat and humidity and provides significant oil and gas resistance, resulting in outstanding electrical performance over the life of the installation. Belden DataTwist Cat 6 and DataTwist 350 cables also utilize a patented Bonded-Pair design which bonds the two conductors of a twisted pair together along the entire length of the cable. This unique technology prevents performance-robbing gaps from forming between the conductors of a pair during the rigors of installation.

Belden DataTwist Cat 6, DataTwist 350 and DataTwist 5e cables feature 100% FEP Teflon® primary insulation and jacket. They meet the full requirements for limited combustible materials as defined in NFPA 90A (Standard for the Installation of Air-conditioning and Ventilation Systems).

Corning's OptiSplice™ Premier (iLID) Fusion Splicer
The Corning OptiSplice Premier (iLID) Fusion Splicer is ideal for networks demanding low-loss performance and accuracy. It includes the industry's first completely integrated, full-feature PC, offering a variety of features never before found on a fusion splicer, allowing for increased splicing performance. The PC - with a 6.4-inch touch screen - features Windows XP Professional Edition software and is compatible with most off-the-shelf software and USB accessories.

The OptiSplice Premier Fusion Splicer (iLID) also features an integrated GPS system, which can store location coordinates or be used for navigation. The splicer can also be connected directly to a flat panel monitor or a data projector for group training sessions.

Ortronics introduces Clarity® Category 6 and Category 5e Shielded solutions
Ortronics has launched Clarity® Shielded Solutions for enhanced Category 6 and Category 5e performance with added protection from EMI, RFI, and alien cross-talk, external noise sources that can negatively affect channel performance. The new four-pair shielded connectivity system includes TracJack® workstation modules, patch cords and patch panel kits.

The Clarity Shielded Solution provides the centre tuned connector design first introduced with Clarity UTP for optimized installed channel performance that is field measurable. All Clarity6 and Clarity5E shielded products exceed TIA/EIA 568B component specifications and are ETL third-party component verified.

Zebra XML-Enabled radio frequency identification (RFID) Printer/Encoder
OnLine has introduced Zebra's new XML- enabled R110Xi RFID printer/encoder. Zebra is the first company to develop and bring to market an XML-enabled bar code and RFID smart label printing solution designed for companies using ERP, warehousing and supply chain/logistics software, such as those offered by Oracle and SAP. These software solution providers are developing XML-based platforms to support customers who must meet RFID compliance mandates or other business improvement initiatives.

The XML-enabled R110Xi is the latest addition to Zebra's currently available and expanding line of HF and EPC-compatible UHF printer/encoders.

Avocent EVR1500
The Avocent® EVR1500 is the newest addition to the Avocent DS Series. The DS Series is a comprehensive suite of IP-based solutions for managing servers, serial devices and now, environmental conditions in the rack. Like other products in the DS Series, the EVR1500 can be accessed over IP connections and can be controlled through the DS Series DSView interface. Using a single interface, administrators can have CLICK AND CONNECT™ control of almost any data centre device.

The EVR1500 appliance monitors and detects environmental conditions that can adversely affect operation in the immediate vicinity of servers and other network devices, and alerts system administrators when those conditions occur. The EVR1500 device comes with four pre-set internal sensors: temperature, humidity, airflow and audio. It also has eight external configurable analog sensors, six digital input sensors and two digital output sensors.
