- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, August 18 - 2004 at 10:27
- PRESS RELEASE
Many good students miss out on attending college because of financial concerns. The University of Wollongong in Dubai is offering more than 15 academic scholarships and is calling upon all students to apply today.
"The UOWD understands that financing college can be a big headache for many parents especially now that higher education costs seem to be on the rise. We want to give students that have shown great academic achievement a chance to fulfill their dreams. We urge students to apply," said Mohammed Hettini, Marketing manager and external relations manager UOWD.
The scholarships are available to new and current students commencing their studies in September 2004 as long as they meet university entry requirements including English proficiency.
The priority deadline for scholarship consideration is the 30th of August 2004.
The scholarship committee will meet in the first week of September to decide on the scholarship recipients and the names will be made public subsequently.
