The new Toyota Lexus dealership facility will house a state-of-the-art vehicle showroom, innovative new-vehicle delivery services and a new Al-Futtaim Motors' head-office.

"The Toyota Lexus dealership facility will become the anchor of the new campus-style automotive retailing environment at Dubai Festival City," said Robert David, Director of Design & Construction, Dubai Festival City.

"The new showrooms have been designed to raise the bar in automotive display and customer service, and to set the standard for the 21st Century.

"The Toyota Lexus dealership at Dubai Festival City will offer customers the ultimate environment in which to view the full range of vehicles from Toyota and Lexus."

Piling work for the new showroom has been completed and construction is now underway for a facility that Al Futtaim Motors believes, will stand out among the best automotive outlets in the world when it opens in 2005.

"Al-Futtaim Motors has always been an innovator in the UAE automotive industry. When it evaluated the Dubai Festival City project it was convinced this would be the ideal location and format for a showroom to service its Dubai customers," said Colin Leitch, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Motors.

Leitch added the design of the new showroom will set futuristic standards for new generation automobile showrooms, and will provide customers with a cutting-edge experience.

"The design is second to none, establishing new benchmarks in design and functionality," said Leitch. "Within the new showroom, separate Toyota and Lexus sections will feature interior designs that compliment the respective cars and facilitate our customers' needs."

The range of vehicles on offer at the new Toyota Lexus showroom will include passenger cars, four wheel drives and commercial vehicles.

"The continued success of Toyota, Lexus and Al-Futtaim Motors is based on listening to our customers and consistently delivering a range of high quality, technologically superior vehicles that meet their requirements," added Leitch.

"Looking beyond the undoubted style, comfort and reliability of the vehicles, the new Al-Futtaim Motors showrooms will also offer customers a relaxed, spacious and totally convenient shopping experience."

About Dubai Festival City:

Dubai Festival City is being developed on 1,600 acres on the banks of Dubai's historic Creek. Comprising 15 distinct development zones, Dubai Festival City is a property development by the Al-Futtaim Group and is the Middle East's largest, privately-funded, mixed-use, real estate project.

It will comprise a unique mix of entertainment, dining, shopping, edutainment, sport and leisure facilities, automotive dealerships, hotels, a marina, residential and office components.

The first phase of construction is underway with The Al Badia Golf Resort, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by world-renowned golf course designer Robert Trent Jones II LLC, surrounded by Mediterranean style apartments and town homes, set to open in late 2004.

Its centreplace 1,800,000 square foot retail, dining and entertainment centre, set on a Creekside marina, is also under construction.

Foundation work will also soon start on the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, an iconic convention hotel situated on the north-west peninsula of the marina.
