Philips irons lead other brands
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, August 21 - 2004 at 10:00
- PRESS RELEASE
Philips irons lead all other brands, both in terms of the total value of sales and in the number of individual units sold, research shows.
This data, which comes in part from German marketing research firm GfK, shows that Philips sells 12.5 million irons a year across the globe, far more than any other single brand. What's more, additional studies show that Philips irons are available in more countries and more markets than any other brand.
"We are delighted with these results, which illustrate consumer awareness that Philips irons are their best choice for quality and a better ironing experience. We design irons that offer superior performance and results, making it easier for our customers to keep clothes looking great, day in and day out," said Louis Hakim, Corporate Communications Manager Philips Electronics Middle East and Africa Philips.
"What's more, our own brand equity study conducted in 10 European countries also reflects the market leadership of Philips irons. The study reports that Philips irons have the highest brand awareness, the best brand reputation and a higher purchase preference than any other brand of iron," Hakim added.
With more than a dozen brands of irons - from classic dry irons and steam irons to travel, cordless and intelligent irons with temperature controls and programmable LCD displays - Philips has the right product for any ironing need.
The Philips Azur 4200 range of irons, featuring an Alert Light, Electronic Safety Shut-Off, Heat Protector and Audio Warning, is one of the most popular available across the region. All Philips irons come with a Philips two-year warranty.
