UAE cement crisis
A crisis over soaring cement prices in the UAE has now led to fears of oversupply and a price crash. When prices leapt 200% in May even as supplies fell short, contractors began importing, helped by a government tariff waiver. Now suppliers are rapidly offloading stocks, fearing a glut in the market.
