Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns and Resorts expands Middle East portfolio with new hotel in Sultanate of Oman

Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns and Resorts is proud to announce the signing of the franchise agreement of the Golden Tulip Seeb, featuring 177 rooms, including six suites and restaurant 'Cote Jardin'.
The Golden Tulip Seeb is a gateway to the Sultanate of Oman, located just one kilometer from Seeb International Airport at the capital Muscat, adjacent to the Oman International Exhibition Center and ideally situated for all domestic tours.
His Excellency Mr. Mohsin Bin Khamis Al Balushi, the Undersecretary for Tourism at Ministry of commerce & industry & the Presidents of the committee, states: "We value Golden Tulip's drive and commitment to support the national efforts exerted to develop tourism in the Sultanate and to work together with other international hotel management companies operating in the Sultanate to promote our country globally as destinations. The structure of Golden Tulip is such that we can benefit from both regional and international marketing structures and thus achieves the recognition we desire."
Hans W.R. Kennedie, President & CEO of Golden Tulip Hotels Inns & Resorts, comments: "We are extremely motivated to be associated with the owners of this hotel, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The Golden Tulip Seeb increases our portfolio in the Sultanate to two hotels after the opening of the Golden Tulip Resort Khasab in December 2003. In addition, we have two further projects in Oman due to open in 2005, giving Golden Tulip a leading position in Oman."

The Golden Tulip Seeb is group's 20th hotel in the Middle East & Africa region. The Golden Tulip Resort Khasab was nominated "Best New Four Star Hotel 2003" at the MENA Awards held at the Arab Travel Market in Dubai in May 2004.
