Al Jazeera Channel launches 'Al Jazeera Mobile' Breaking News in Palestine

Al Jazeera Channel in association with Al Majaz Telecom Technology have recently signed an agreement with Palestine Cellular Communications Company 'JAWWAL' to provide subscribers initially with Breaking News through 'Al Jazeera Mobile' news service, while Political News, Business & Financial News, as well as Sports News will follow in the future.
"Al Jazeera Mobile" was launched in October 2003 by "Al Jazeera Channel" in association with "Al Majaz Telecom Technology", to provide the latest news alerts and developments for subscribers interested in receiving Al Jazeera Channel breaking news through the Short Message Service SMS anywhere in the world.
In the framework of collaboration between Al Jazeera Channel and Al Majaz Telecom Technology, Mr. Mohammed Al Obaidly points out the importance of extending "Al Jazeera Mobile" service regionally and internationally. He also states, that the launch of this service in Palestine is part of a plan, that started initially in Qatar through Qtel, Qatar Telecommunications Company, and gained a great success because of increasing numbers of subscribers interested in receiving Breaking News, Political News, Business & Economic News, and Sports News. After Qatar and the UAE, in addition to Jordan, Egypt, and now Palestine; the service will extend soon to include other countries in the Middle East and North Africa, with plans to cover mobile service networks worldwide.
After the launch of this service, JAWWAL subscribers, can fill out a subscription form, and include the desired language, either Arabic or English. Now, with this service "JAWWAL" subscribers can be ensured they are kept well informed at all times about recent developments regionally and globally through their GSM.
