Promax clinches Procter & Gamble corporate communications deal in the Arabian Peninsula
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, August 28 - 2004 at 14:09
- PRESS RELEASE
Modern Products Company, joint venture of Procter & Gamble in the Arabian Peninsula, announced the appointment of Promax Middle East to manage its corporate communications in the region.
"We require an agency that has the knowledge of our consumer markets through its developed understanding and experience in the region, while being capable of serving the local and pan-Arab media," explained Turki Bin Moammar, Public Affairs Manager of MPC.
"Promax offers a good combination of specific skills and experience to support MPC's corporate image and communication successfully. We believe that public relations play a significant role in our overall marketing practices and are important in communicating with our stakeholders." Bin Moammar concluded.
Promax Middle East is the regional expansion of Dutch communication network PGI based in Amsterdam, and has captured high profile accounts including Roche Pharmaceuticals, Forbes, Merck, Tourism Malaysia, Cathay Pacific and Pure Gold among others.
"I think there are two major differences why we won P&G - one of the key accounts in the region. First, Promax has an office in every single Arabic country, and Iran. These offices are their own profit centers, quite capable of implementing ground activities in each country," affirmed Cem Arikoler, Regional Director for Promax Middle East.
"Second, our target audience methodology gives us strength to affect the client's bottom line and measure the effectiveness of our work. Measurement is the struggle of many PR agencies in the region and we are happy to be one step ahead on those issues," concluded Arikoler.
