- PRESS RELEASE
IRONPOWER, the world's first metallic gyro exerciser manufactured by German sports group Kernpower, will be launched on the regional market at Sportex Middle East 2004 - the exclusive international exhibition for the Middle East's sports and leisure industries - to be held in Dubai from September 7-9.
"IRONPOWER has already proved extremely popular across Europe," said Ernst Kern, General Director, Kernpower. "The growth of leisure, sports and fitness developments in the Middle East have seen a massive increase in the number of people going to the gym and that is the market we will be targeting for these two state-of-the-arm exercise products."
Kernpower, which has developed from a wrist exercise and muscle trainer distribution company to a training goods manufacturer, launched IRONPOWER on the European market at the beginning of summer.
Kernpower will stage demonstrations throughout Sportex Middle East 2004, to be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC).
Organised by International Expo-Consults (IEC), Sportex Middle East 2004 will be the largest in the event's history. To date companies from 14 countries have confirmed their participation. In addition, the exhibition will feature an official delegation from China.
"The Middle East is one of the most vibrant markets for the health and wellbeing industry and the population growth in the region is among the fastest in the world, opening new vistas for providers of health and fitness services and products," said Mohammed Falaknaz, Vice President, IEC.
"Sportex Middle East 2004 will provide a unique opportunity for anyone in the industry to experience the latest in training techniques and products from around the world."
