Inaugural Karachi-Dubai-Moscow PIA flight lands at Dubai International Airport

The Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai, yesterday welcomed the inaugural PIA flight from Karachi to Moscow via Dubai.
Mr Solaiman, commented, "Dubai International Airport is the premier airport in the region. Being at the crossroads between the East and West, has also made us the busiest in the region. We offer the highest standards of service and facility to all our customers - both airlines and passengers."
Mr Amanullah Larik, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, commented: "Pakistan has long-standing relations with the UAE which continues to grow stronger each year. This new flight will further boost our relationship because it will benefit not just Pakistan but also the UAE in terms of business and tourism."
Mr Kaleem Malik, Deputy Managing Director, Finance, PIA, commented: "PIA is witnessing a very healthy growth. The airline has been revamped and has a new look now. Last year, the airline carried 4.5 million passengers and this year we expect a 15% growth. PIA has ordered new aircraft - Boeing 777 and Airbus 310. We have six new A310 and three Boeing 777. We will get five more 777 aircraft in the next few years."
