Layout launches Kalimat X

Kalimat X allows users to use Arabic with all leading Macintosh illustration and photo retouching programs, such as Adobe® Photoshop® 6.x, 7.x, Creative Suite (CS version), Ulead® GIF Animator, Boris Red?, Macromedia Flash? MX2004, CorelDraw? or any other image-editing program on the Macintosh platform.

This Arabic based utility has become a hit, installed on the machine of almost every Macintosh designer in the region. Users simply type and edit text in Kalimat and export it to non-Arabic applications, so to create stunning effects and superlative Arabic designs, with no need for an Arabic operating system or Arabic Language Kit.

Improvements in the enhanced version are initially evident in an innovative new user interface. Apart from being compliant with the MAC OS X environment, Kalimat X allows users to import and export Arabic text either as ASCII or Unicode format. This new and powerful feature is compatible with the leading and major image-editing industry standards, giving users greater flexibility and control to deliver high-impact design for both the print and the electronic media within the speed and performance benefit of Mac OS X.

Layout ME of Dubai will launch Kalimat X at Gulf Print 2004 exhibition in Dubai (Stand #C8), held from September 19th till September the 22nd, and will ship immediately. Thereafter, demos, upgrades, and full packages of Kalimat X will be available directly from Layout Ltd. for the International market and from Layout Middle East for the Gulf market or any of its regional resellers.
