- PRESS RELEASE
WHAT'S ON, the UAE-based magazine that covers entertainment and leisure in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and neighbouring emirates - has applied for membership of BPA Worldwide, the world's leading media auditing organisation.
The magazine is distributed across the UAE through retail outlets and paid subscriptions.
Ian Fairservice, Managing Partner of Motivate Publishing and Group Editor of WHAT'S ON said: "This is an important step not only for WHAT'S ON but for publishing in this region as a whole. With the explosion of media that the UAE has witnessed in recent years, advertisers need to be sure that publishers' claims are based on fact. We look forward to presenting WHAT'S ON's circulation, built up over 25 years, in a BPA audit."
"We are pleased that WHAT'S ON has applied for membership in BPA Worldwide," said BPA president and CEO Glenn Hansen. "We applaud the publishers for providing their advertisers and prospects with the solid assurance of an independent circulation audit conducted according to our world-respected, uncompromising standards. With a BPA audit, media buyers can be confident that circulation claims are accurate, and that they have the verified data that they need to assess a publication's effectiveness in serving its market."
